As today is 9/11, 14 years later, I have decided to make the photo of this american flag, as the photo of the day.

I remember where I was when it happened. At home, back in Israel. I was only 15, with no clue I will one day live in the United States. It was shocking and devastating. Eyes were glued to television screens both with curiosity, to know why and how, and hopes that none of it could possibly be real.

This picture was taken in 2014, while on the way to Mammoth Lakes, in California. The flag rose up tall and was waving, proudly, with the wind.
